On arrival at Bagdogra Airport – meet and greet by our local representative – transferred to Phuentsholing (Approx 160km / 04hrs drive). Phuentsholing (298Mts / 977Fts) is a small town at the Indo-Bhutan border. Evening at your own leisure. Overnight at Phuentsholing.
After breakfast our guide will receive you from your hotel and proceed to complete Permit process – check out hotel and proceed to Thimphu (Approx 165km / 5hrs drive) via Chukha – Thimphu lies at an elevation of 2300m. Thimphu lies in a beautiful valley, sprawling up a hillside on the west bank of the Thimphu Chhu River and has a total area of about 1,809 sq. kms. Evening at your own leisure Overnight at Thimphu.
After breakfast enjoy Thimphu City Tour Covering -Art & Craft school, National library, Handicraft enters, The Memorial Chorten built in the memory of the late King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck, Tashichho Dzong, Buddha Dordenma statue, Bhutan Simply Museum, Folk and Heritage Museum, BBS Tower, 15 century Changangkha monastery, Motithang mini zoo to see the rare “Takin” national animal of Bhutan and drive further down with good view of the Thimphu valley. After that transfer to Paro 50 kms in 02 hrs drive. Overnight stay at Paro.
After breakfast drive to Taktsang Monastery – called “Tiger’s Nest” (02hrs hike from the base camp). “Tiger’s Nest” is one of the most famous places to visit in Bhutan and one of the holiest sites in Bhutan. It is perched on a steep granite cliff at 2950 metres overlooking northern Paro valley. The place is especially venerated because of its association with Guru Rinpoche and is believed that more merit is gained if we meditate even for a minute in Taktsang than many months in other places. Overnight stay will be at Paro.
(Distance: 145 kms. / Driving Time: 4.5 hrs. / Altitude of Phuentsholing: 450 mts.) After breakfast check out of your hotel and visit Paro local sightseeing like, Drukgyel Dzong, Ta Dzong (Ring Pong Dzong),Paro Airport View Point and local market after all this sightseeing travel back to Jaigaon. Overnightstay at Phuentsholing.
Post breakfast, check out from Hotel and drive towards IXB / NJP. With lots of scenic beauty of his region and lovely moments, your heart will not allow you to leave this place but your destination in waiting for you.
