On arrival at Bagdogra Airport – meet and greet by our local representative – transferred to Phuentsholing (Approx 160km / 04 hrs drive). Phuentsholing (298Mts / 977Fts) is a small town at the Indo-Bhutan border. Evening at your own leisure. Overnight at stay Phuentsholing.
After breakfast our guide will receive you from your hotel and proceed to complete Permit process – check out from hotel and proceed to Thimphu (Approx 165km / 5hrs drive) via Chukha – Thimphu lies at an elevation of 2300m. Thimphu lies in a beautiful valley, sprawling up a hillside on the west bank of the Thimphu Chhu River and has a total area of about 1,809 sq. kms. Evening at your own leisure. Overnight stay at Thimphu.
After breakfast visit Kuensel Phodrang (Buddha Statue) a place for refreshing with a huge statue of Buddha on the top of the Kuensel Phodrang, National Memorial Chorten (Monument) & Folk Heritage Museum. Afternoon visit Sangaygang View Point, Changangkha Monastery, Taking Preserve Centre, The talking national animal of Bhutan can be seen here Tashichho Dzong (Fortress of the Glorious Religion). Evening is free at Leisure or to explore local market by own. Overnight stay at Thimphu.
After breakfast checkout from hotel and drive to Punakha/Wangdue (70 kms / 2 hrs) – Proceed to Wangdue Phodrang, with a stop on route for tea at Dochu La Pass (3,100 meters), where on a clear day you can get spectacular views of the Himalayas. In Wangdue, stop at Mehsina village & visit Chime Lhakhang – After that transfer to Paro. Overnight stay at Paro.
After breakfast drive to Taktsang Monastery – called “Tiger’s Nest” (02 hrs hike from the base camp). “Tiger’s Nest” is one of the most famous places to visit in Bhutan and one of the holiest sites in Bhutan. It is perched on a steep granite cliff at 2950 meters overlooking northern paro valley. The place is especially venerated because of its association with Guru Rimpoche and is believed that more merit is gained if we meditate even for a minute in Taktsang than many months in other places. Overnight stay will be at Paro.
(Distance: 145 kms. / Driving Time: 4.5 hrs. / Altitude of Phuentsholing: 450 mts.) After breakfast check out of your hotel and visit Paro local sightseeing like, Drukgyel Dzong, Ta Dzong (Ring Pong Dzong), Paro Airport View Point and local market after all this sightseeing travel back to Jaigaon. Overnight stay at Phuentsholing.
Post breakfast, check out from Hotel and drive towards IXB / NJP. With lots of scenic beauty of his region and lovely moments, your heart will not allow you to leave this place but your destination in waiting for you. Our driver will drop you at NJP Railway Station /IXB Bagdogra Airport for further journey. Today your tour with Northeast Tour ends. Fly back with sweet memories of Northeast Tour.
